You would have to read the Horse Humane Plus October 17 th and 18th to understandhttp

Earlier that month they reported there were 38-40 slaughter bound horses they were going to save . There were healthy ones in better condition than their previous purchases from the same killbuyer. They said the killbuyer didn't care if they went to slaughter or to the rescue as long as he got paid. They were coming Monday , no Wednesday ,no Sunday they picked up 19 horses some were very thin , most not in great condition.
What happened ?
Now their story goes the Slaughter Pipeline horses were taken to Mexico nto straight to the rescue and only the fat healthy horses went on to slaughter and the others were returned or refused at the border and then returned to the secret staging area by the kill buyer for the fabulous fake heroes to pick up. How convenient that there was just a news story about horses being refused by Mexico to back this story up.
Well thats one version anyway.
Version Two
The vet says these horses would never have made the trip to Mexico according to their vet in the news article.
Version Three
Disputing the vet's information that the horses had not made it to Mexico
Supposedly the rescue claimed this kill buyer comes from Washington to California then to Arizona and to Texas before crossing into Mexico and all the way back to Calfiornia with the refused horses where they were unloaded at 2:30 am by the kill buyer and picked up the next day by the rescue. And of course the sad story how they use skinny ones to make trinkets and hides is thrown in for more emotional effect.
I think they should have got their stories straight before calling the newsteams.
The real story is even more bizarre.
The rescue hires a known horse trader and killbuyer who supposedly sells animals to the Mexican rodeo as well to get people to entrust him with their horses by stating he is an agent of the rescue and taking out the ads in Craigslist.. He can't make the delivery of 38-40 horses to their place as planned on Monday they expect him on Wednesday barring any car trouble but instead he drops the 19 horses off on Saturday at a totally different place. What happened during that time , did he double cross the owners and the rescue and take the healthy fat ones to rodeo or slaughter and trade them for the ones he could not sell ? Did he ever have 40 ?
Why don't any of these horses have auction tags or slaughter tags?
In fact why don't the horses they claim Agent X got at the auction have auction tags?
What the hell is with all the cloak and dagger bs?
Not to ignore the fact that these horses needed help , but they did not need to fake that they were headed to slaughter to get them help or risk the injuries and ilnesses they have by letting someone collect them throw them together in a pen and then into a trailer. . They did it to get $10,000 of which only $2375 went to buy these horses. They may show the horses being delivered at the vet but once the news cameras are off they will be put out in the shelterless dusty field to fend for themselves with the other 70 or so horses they have already , well at least until the next euth clinic
.There are real horses in real trouble with real killbuyers We want the killbuyer's names we want them reported we don't want to pay them with money and let them victimize people who think their horses are going to a rescue . We most certainly don't want to pay them to pack those horses into trailers in that condition. Of course it would have been slightly decent of the rescue to treat them any better . Packing them back into trailers without giving them water or food or vet care first? Trailering them from the secret drop off point to Oroville where they had reporters waiting after they were supposed to have just been trailered for almost a week?
There are no water towers or fairgrounds close by as they show in the pictures of the "secret staging area" so clearly it was not a short trip but I guess you don't want to keep the press waiting .
This is just too sick for words.
Here are some pictures , it is the trailer of the killbuyer / rescue agent who placed the ads , one is at his property the other is right off the rescue's blog from 8 3 2010
